Innovation Culture

Reward and incentive mechanisms have been developed to contribute to the widespread adoption of an innovation culture at Limak Cement and make it one of the company's main strategies. Limak Cement conducts assessments to promote and reward its employees in numerous areas, including the development of innovative R&D activities, undertaking necessary tasks to achieve targets aligned with the organization’s short-, medium-, and long-term strategies, developing national and international R&D and innovation projects, and authoring technical articles. Within the framework of continuous improvement, the project and subject matter suggestion system, improvement activities, and high performance are also part of the reward and incentive system. The main goal of the performance system is to support the company in achieving its R&D and innovation targets, while also strengthening employees' professional R&D and innovation capabilities.

Awareness training sessions and meetings are organized to foster the development of researchers in R&D and innovation. In these periodic meetings, topics include the definitions of innovation and R&D, their relationship, types of innovation, the connection between innovation and competition, how this relationship impacts corporate strategy and vision, the organic link between innovation and R&D, as well as priority innovation and R&D topics for the cement industry. Thanks to the open-minded policy fostered through periodic 'brainstorming sessions' and feedback meetings to capture new ideas from our employees, an environment is created where ideas can be communicated directly to management. This allows all personnel, regardless of function, position, or title, the opportunity to propose projects and participate in them as researchers.

Thanks to this system, where the R&D Center serves as a common ground for all units, employees from different departments and plants across Türkiye adapt to the innovation culture as researchers, regardless of their titles, becoming the most crucial and dynamic part of this newly established innovative system. Thanks to these systems and approaches, the innovation culture at Limak Cement is strengthened, ensuring sustainable success.
