Goals and Strategies
Limak Cement R&D Center has embraced the integration of sustainable economic development with an R&D-driven approach as a core principle, closely monitoring innovative products and technologies in the cement industry. As one of the leading players in the industry with over 1,500 technical and administrative personnel, Limak Cement is the only cement group in Türkiye with accredited laboratories and ranks among the top three strongest players in all the countries where it operates.
It actively participates in industry events to enhance national and international partnerships, focusing on energy efficiency, carbon footprint reduction, circular economy, and digital transformation.
Short-term strategies:
To raise awareness of R&D and innovation, systematize the search for alternative raw materials and fuels, monitor carbon capture and utilization (CCU) technologies, and contribute to the circular economy through industrial symbiosis projects.
Medium-term strategies:
To develop low-carbon products, to increase renewable energy usage, to improve occupational health and safety with digital solutions, and to improve process efficiency.
Long-term strategies:
To achieve the 'Zero-Waste' target, reduce fossil fuel usage, develop energy and water efficiency projects, create AI-based efficiency solutions, and implement carbon-neutral initiatives in alignment with the European Green Deal.
